CCIL and its members share a commitment towards establishing a vibrant independent laboratory industry in Canada that is nationally and internationally recognized and acclaimed. CCIL is the voice of the industry and offers its members a variety of valuable services:
- Advocacy – CCIL is the advocacy voice for Canadian laboratories. We advocate for high standards, certification and accreditation requirements, fair and practical regulations, and the benefits of utilizing independent laboratory services.
- Certification – CCIL's asphalt and aggregates certification programs are well recognized and highly acclaimed. CCIL also offers leadership is establishing and promoting certification and accreditation in other areas.
- Standards – the association participates with standards-writing bodies, is active on industry task groups and maintains liaison with comparable associations internationally.
- Technical leadership – CCIL and its members are highly involved in offering leadership in developing, improving and, when needed, harmonizing method protocols.
- Communication – CCIL communicates in a variety of ways with its members, regulators, the media and other stakeholders.
