Clients turn to independent laboratories for their commitment to quality, highly trained personnel, and leading-edge technologies and equipment. But clients also select these labs for another reason. They know that independent testing enhances the perceived quality of their product or operation. The reports and findings of independent laboratories are highly credible and respected. Independent testing adds value. And considering the costs and risks associated with improper testing, choosing a CCIL member lab is a wise investment. As well, all CCIL members must adhere to a strict code of ethics which, among other things, requires them to: act in the public interest; meet the highest standards of honesty, accuracy and trust; respect client confidentiality; safeguard against representing conflicting or competing interests; and sign or seal only those reports made by their principals and staff.
